Suzanne R. Hawley, PhD, MPH
Dr. Hawley is a Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) at Wichita State University, and previously the PHS Department Chair. Her work has focused on leadership development/training, health disparities, and mental health. She has published approximately 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in addition to giving more than 150 presentations both locally and internationally. Her formal education includes Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Psychology from California State University. In addition, she has a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Biostatistics and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, both
from Loma Linda University in California. In 2011, Dr. Hawley received the Kansas Public Health Associations’s highest Award, the Samuel J. Crumbine medal, for her contributions to public health workforce and leadership development.
